Cheap Plasma TV

Is there such thing as a quality cheap plasma TV? Or does cheap equal "low quality" or less eloquently: rubbish? In days gone by if you bought a "no name" TV you could be almost certain that it would stop working within a year or so. But since it was so cheap, you were happy to use it for a year and then replace it. But that strategy does not seem logical at all, particularly these days when high quality plasma and LCD televisions are available at low prices.

There are certainly still a lot of subpar TV's on the market: most from little known brands. However don't write them all off, and consider doing extensive research before diving in to your purchase.

Once brand to look at for cheap plasma TV's is Vizio. They started out as an unknown company and as such consumers were wary of the quality of their offerings.

However after many favorable reviews at powerful and influential websites like CNET and Amazon.com, Vizio is now placed in the top 5 TV manufacturers list, particularly in the LCD market. They have only released a few plasma TVs and unfortunately are producing no more, but you can still buy their previous releases at cut rate prices.

Currently Vizio Plasma televisions are only officially being sold through their own website, as they are no longer manufacturing the TV's for the market and as such, are simply moving excess stock. But don't let that put you off: Vizio are not going anywhere and the TV's come with full warranty.

When you visit the Vizio website you will also see that they are giving away plasma televisions as a final push to release themself from the Plasma market for good. This is good news for the consumer and gives you a chance to appreciate the quality of a Vizio model without paying for it.

Vizio is now concentrating on their LCD models instead as they have had great success producing high quality LCD televisions at prices that have the big name brands looking over their shoulder; Vizio are taking up more and more of the LCD market share and this is only set to continue throughout 2009 and beyond.
